colour corridor- wall mural

This Colour corridor project is a wall mural corridor executed for Asian Paints in collaboration with Start India Foundation. The idea was to transform an old, dingy, dark lane to a colourful corridor as a part of the exhibition at Tri Art and Culture with the central theme of Adda.
The lane was initially quite dingy. The mural was conceptualised around the idea of “Home outside Home,” transforming the corridor into a warm, welcoming environment.

The wall mural showcases the collection of small, everyday objects gradually took over the wall, redefining its visual language and enhancing the overall experience of the space. Certain objects were used which are very essential part of the city and the household like the letterboxes, pressure cookers, steel tiffin boxes, colour television and old switches. These objects had a lot of character and tells the story of a city which is very rooted to its people and culture.
The artwork celebrates Asian Paints’ Colour Chromacasm, reflecting their vast palette of over 5,300 colour shades, and bringing vibrancy, depth, and character to an otherwise overlooked passageway.
