Wykiki mural was one of my earlier works, created for a property of Taj Hotels in Kolkata. Though it was a small piece, but a significant one for me at that time. The restaurant specialised in Southeast Asian cuisine and I wanted to paint something which captures the cultural essence of that place.

I painted a Southeast Asian mask, rendered as a half face and positioned it strategically at the turn after the entrance.
The idea of using a half faced wall mural was to evoke a sense of mystery with a blend of culture in it. Despite being a small mural, the wall mural played an important role in setting up the environment and the mood of the place.
