A Taste of Time is a book written by Mohona Kanjilal about Kolkata and its streetfood. I have illustrated the book cover art for the book. The book cover illustrations are the collection of spot illustrations of people in Kolkata who are very passionate about their streetfood. On the cover there are illustrations of a man having roshogolla, a man on his hand pulled rickshaw having a big bite of the chicken roll while going home. Since Kolkata has a strong northeast food culture as well, there is a woman who’s serving momo and thukpa at her stall. There are all these illustrations which tell the story of Kolkata’s street food culture in a more candid way.
