“The adventures of Goopy the singer and Bagha the drummer is a classic story of ghosts, friendship, music and magic written by Upendrakishore Roychowdhury.
I grew up watching the film adaptation of the story by Satyajit Ray, which made the story more easy to remember as a kid. Hence it was a real privilege to work on the book cover and the inside illustrations. 

I had explored a couple of other cover ideas. But I thought it would be more interesting to capture the moment where both Goopy and Bagha were immersed in their music and the ghosts started emerging from the trees of the forest and started dancing to their tune.

Working on the inside illustrations were a lot of fun too. It was a great experience of creating the world of Goopy and Bagha through my illustrations.”
