I am Bokool is a children’s picture book illustrated by me and written by Asma Ul Husna Sanchita from Bangladesh. This is a children’s picture book and it got published from Guba Publishing who operates between Dhaka and California.

The story is about a young boy Bokul, who works at a small tea stall near Cox’s Bazaar. The picture book is about teaching compassion to the young readers.

Creating the illustrations for I am Bokul was meaningful experience for myself as well. Though I have never been to Bangladesh, but through some images shared from the publisher, I created the entire atmosphere of the seaside town where Bokul resides.

I used digital illustrations to create the images of I am Bokul. As a children’s picture book, I am Bokul teaches its readers compassion, equality, love and coexistence. This picture book is one of my important collaborations of 2021.
