Ranji the music maker is a beautiful children’s book written by the legendary Ruskin Bond. I had the great privilege on working on this book and translating his vision into visuals through the colourful illustrations.

I had painted all the book illustrations in acrylic medium and later scanned them carefully to get the desired handpainted feel of the original illustrations. I really enjoyed working on the illustrations of the book where I could create the world of Ranji.

Working on the book illustrations of Ranji, the music maker gave me the opportunity to create vibrant and colourful images. Since my style towards children’s book illustrations always leans towards colourful and vibrant palette, Ranji the music maker encouraged me to create it even further. Through these colourful children’s book illustrations I aim to create a happy and a colourful world.
