Song of the golden sparrow is a magical fictional story of the journey of independent India. The book was published from Speaking Tiger Books. I really enjoyed illustrating the book cover. On the cover, the idea was not to give away too many important elements but to capture the people from history and the characters which take the story forward. That’s how the idea of a group illustrations of all the important characters involved in the book came up on the book cover. I really liked illustrating the details of the characters and creating a cohesive look for the cover.
