The Newtown underpass wall mural was commissioned by HIDCO in 2023. The underpass got inaugurated to avoid the traffic congestion near the Biswa Bangla Gate signal.
The intent behind painting the wall mural was not only to transform the space but also to make the place more happy, welcoming, uplifting and full of life.

Since the underpass leads to several hospitals, the idea of the wall mural was to create a positive and emotional comfort for the commuters.
The wall mural gets inspired from the nature and its vibrance and organic flow. Hence I used colourful and vibrant wall mural compositions which talks about the nature and brings a sense of calm and joy at the same time. The underpass wall mural took about 15 days to finish. The entire team gathered and made a great effort to create such large murals in such a shorter time span.
